With friends and family spread far and wide and many couples opting for a destination wedding, "Save the Date" cards are almost as commonplace as conventional invitations.

Other reasons to send The Save The Date notice is that perhaps you haven't secured a wedding venue or other key details that need to be included on the wedding invitation.

It's common courtesy to give interstate, and especially overseas guests, plenty of notice if you're keen for them to attend your nuptials but it needn't be done a run-of-the-mill way.
