On your big day, it's important that you feel like the best version of yourself. That means feeling beautiful, comfortable in your own skin and true to yourself.

Everybody's dream wedding outfit is different. Some women envision a big, puffy white dress with a long train, while others might want a sleek, sheath design. Another bride might feel more comfortable wearing a pant suit.

It might not be traditional, but it's fast becoming a trend and more and more designers such as Oscar de la Renta (above) are including bridal pant suits in their wedding collections.

A bridal pant suit is perfect for someone who chooses shorts over skirts every time. If dresses really aren't your style, why wear something that isn't reflecting the true you and might make you feel uncomfortable?

You won't be alone, either. An increasing number of brides are opting for non-traditional wedding gear because it suits who they are. Designers have embraced the style, realising that everyone is different and deserves to shine in their own way.

At this year's New York Bridal Market, designers like Alfred Angelo, Rivini and Lazaro showed off their stunning pant suit designs.  Badgley Mischka and Carolina Herrera are also known for including them in their 2017 spring/summer collections.

It's important to try on a range styles to find the perfect fit, especially considering a pant suit is likely to require some tailoring to get it just right - and many are quite form-fitting.

Fortunately, now that pant suits are gaining popularity, there is an abundance of styles to choose from.

Your ultimate style might be silk or lace, full of peplum flair, a structured jacket or a detailed, beaded bodice. One thing's for sure - there's just as much variety as there is in the traditional wedding dress market.

Every bride deserves her dream wedding and whether you glide down the aisle in a dress with a metre long train or stroll down in a pant suit, you should feel beautiful.
