Boutonnieres (or buttonholes) are an easy DIY addition that can look good and save you money. If you can't be bothered to DIY then get your wedding florist to do it for you...

STEP ONE:

Pick your centre flower. Go for a flower that suits your wedding and its colours.

If it is blue pick hyacinth, if it's red go with roses or if you are going neutral maybe a nice white poeny.

STEP TWO:

Add some smaller details. Pick some green leaves or smaller florals such as babies breath. These should not overpower the centrepiece but bring the combination to life.

STEP THREE:

Hold them in place with green floristic tape and then chose an overlay. The most popular option is ribbon (organza or satin) chose a material and colour that fits your wedding theme. If you are going for a more rustic look go for a hemp style string.
