• Buy small photo frames, and place a poem or verse thanking the guest for being part of your day
  • Little pot plants such as succulents, herbs or seedlings make great wedding favours.
  • Dilly bags holding a couple of heart shaped chocolates tied with a ribbon and thank you note
  • Take some tulle and make up a little square with an opening at one end, fill with bath crystals and secure with a ribbon.
  • Buy silver teaspoons - we like to idea of scouring Vinnies and the Salvos - dip them in chocolate and set. When set, wrap in cellophane and tie with ribbon.  Create a little tag with your names and wedding date and slip onto the ribbon. Even better, engrave the handles with your names and wedding date.
  • Get a pillar candle about 10cm round and as tall as you like, then get an old biro (without the ink!) and write the persons name into the candle. Then you can stick glitter in their name to personalise.
  • Buy or make little gold boxes, spray with gold glitter, place tulle and chocolate inside and tie up with a gold bow.
  • Give each guest a disc or personalise a thumbdrive and include as many photos as you can find of them with you. Video a special message to each guest or couple individually, and any thank them for any special input they may have made. These can also be followed up a few images of them at your wedding.
  • Make up little bags of jelly beans (and call them magic beans) for the guys, and little containers of glitter (and call it fairy dust) for the girls.
  • Fill little heart-shaped jars with either chocolates, jellybeans or even bath crystals.
  • Buy some large chocolate hearts and write the names of the guest on them.
  • Buy small double photo frames and put in a photo of you and the guest, not only is this something different, but also a gorgeous keepsake for your guests.
  • Wedding Tip:

    Most of these ideas double up as placecards, just add the wedding guest's name
