Remembrance Ceremony

Many brides and grooms will have loved ones who sadly have passed away.
You might want to include a ceremony of remembrance at some stage during your wedding ceremony.
For example lighting the Candle Of Remembrance
Love has gathered us to witness the joining of two special people.
And this day is made special in two ways,
For this is the date on which in future years you will be celebrating
The anniversary of this, your marriage.
Had (name) late (mother, father, friend etc) of (name) been alive today,
He/she would have been so proud to be here celebrating his/her (son, daughter, friend etc) wedding.
Still we feel his/her presence with us.
He/she surround us with her spirit,
And he/she showers us with her love.It is in her memory now that we light the candle.
Let us all bow our heads for a brief moment of reflection and silence to acknowledge her presence with us.
You might also invite your parent and their new spouse, and the fiance's parents come up and light a candle, to signify the joining of the two families.
