10 Essential Planning Tips
Once you have narrowed down a location for your wedding day, use our checklist to ensure it's a wedding worthy venue:
- Check out on-site or nearby accommodation for your bridal party and wedding guests.
- Is there an area to hold the ceremony at your wedding venue?
- Stand up or sit down? What are your wedding reception options?
- In-house or out-house? What catering and toilet facilities are available?
- Is there a wedding co-ordinator or functions co-ordinator on site to assist with set up and running order?
- Frill seekers beware. Can you have your say decorating event areas?
- Get details from the wedding venue and other wedding service providers clarified in writing so there are no misunderstandings.
- Rain check. Does the venue have wet weather plans?
- Last-minute touch ups? Is the bridal suite easily accessible from the wedding reception room or marquee?
- Give your wedding guests plenty of notice. Send out save the date notices and info packs early or create a wedding web info page.
