Bernadetta + Nicolai
This modern take on a Chinese wedding was held in Melbourne within with walls of the historic grand Town Hall. The brides classic strapless wedding dress and the groom in white tie set this event as a stictly formal affair. The colours of the wedding were traditional Chinese red with white and Bernadette's choice of flower was the forever popular rose.
The speeches from the father of the bride and the best man at the beginning are great examples of these important wedding toasts. I love the formality and the show of culture at this wedding.
The traditional tea ceremony was held at the reception rather than at home so that all the guests could enjoy and share this significant moment with the bride and groom.
You'll also notice the bride has changed three times throughout the day, from the western white wedding dress to the traditional Chinese dress worn during the tea ceremony, then the Brides red party dress for the reception.
