Choosing Your Cars
After finding a selection of quality cars, then
comes the question: Which should I choose?
The
first step is to determine the age category of car you want.
It is best to choose all your cars from the same category.
About the only successful exception to this is to have a Classic
English car for the Bride and Groom, with modern English cars (Jaguars,
Rolls-Royce) behind.
Firstly, look for the main car for the Bride and Groom.
Once you have decided on this, you can investigate what cars will
be suitable to run behind. If you need 3 cars you could have them
all the same.
Alternatively, if you choose a good looking main car
and have cars that compliment, but do not overshadow it, then you
are making the Bride and Groom and their car the feature of the
day.
Some good examples are -
- Vintage Rolls-Royce as the main car with 2 vintage Chevrolets
- Classic Jaguar/Bentley as the main car with modern Jaguars behind
- Classic Bentley as the main car with say an S type or Mark 2
Jaguar behind
- Modern Stetch as the main car with 2 LTD sedans behind
Colours
Black has been the traditional colour of Hire
cars. It was not until about the mid 1970's that white cars started
to appear as Hire and Wedding cars.
However, the current trend is towards
coloured cars. A totally different colour from the Brides
dress allows the gown to be highlighted in photos.
Care needs to be taken to ensure the car colour
does not to clash with the bridesmaids dresses.
